WELCOME TO THE STRONG LIFE PROJECT
LIVING THE STRONG LIFE means to live with Strength, Tenacity, Resilience, Optimism, Nurturing & Generousity. It means living a life you love, continually striving to be a better version of you than you were yesterday.
To live a Strong Life means to be a High Performer and do the things that most people are too scared to do. It is about living with no regrets while being a loving and connected leader in your life. It is about leaving nothing on the table and taking full advantage by squeezing every drop out of your life.
Fear and doubt hold us back. Confidence and self-worth drive us forward. Living a Strong Life means you do not fold into the fear; you learn to use the fear as the guide to what you need to be working on and putting your effort into.
Too many people in today’s society are looking for the easy way out and someone else to blame for the way their lives are. There is no easy way in life; it takes hard work and commitment to live the life you want.
If you are prepared to do the work to create the life you want, then you are in the right place. Welcome to THE STRONG LIFE PROJECT.
Who is Shaun O’Gorman
It would be fair to say that I have seen my fair share of violence and depravity throughout my life. In fact, more like many lives worth. But it has not defined the man I am today. Despite my parents’ divorce, a violent 13-year Police career, a diagnosis of PTSD & depression, an extended battle with suicide, a 15 year corporate career, a bitter divorce and a prolonged family court custody battle, I never gave in, and I never gave up.
I now live an amazing life. I have a beautiful relationship with my daughters, a fantastic loving partner, I have a very successful and fulfilling career, and I’m healthier and fitter than I have ever been. As a coach, mentor and speaker, I’m living my dream career helping others and having an impact. Now I use my experience to inspire other people to LIVE THE STRONG LIFE.
WAYS TO WORK WITH ME
The Strong Life Podcast is a daily dose of mindset and mastery, where I dig into the behaviours, habits and beliefs that can either enhance or derail our lives.
There are over 1800 episodes (usually around 10 minutes in length).
My book ‘My Dark Companion’ shares my journey from my darkest days of PTSD, suicidal tendencies and unhealthy behaviours through to the life I’m living today – one that is filled with positive relationships, vital health and a career that I know is my purpose.
Not just a story, it is filled with lessons on how to live a great life.
When I first met Shaun, I was one fight loss away from quitting my fight career. As an MMA fighter, I had lost 4 fights in a row and had 10 wins and 8 losses from my professional career. Shaun helped me with my mindset around fighting and I not only won my next fight but went on to secure a UFC contract. I fought 6 times for the UFC. Now I run my own martial arts and fitness center, which I had always dreamed of but never thought was possible. When Shaun and I first worked together I told him my dream was to fight UFC and run my own gym, he absolutely helped me make that dream possible.
Shaun also helped me put my military career into perspective, including my deployment to Afghanistan where I was involved in combat. He helped me understand the PTSD I was diagnosed with was an injury as a result of my service. I have received support and treatment for my injuries because of this willingness to acknowledge my injuries from my service.
To say Shaun has helped me is an understatement, he showed me a totally different way of thinking and I have continued to develop this for the last 5 years. This has had a huge positive impact on my business, marriage, being a Dad and my life in general.
I would highly recommend Shaun to anyone who wants to make changes in their lives and achieve amazing outcomes.
Shaun is a refreshingly unique, left-of-centre character, who is totally up to something amazing in this world. Upon first meeting, Shaun completely understood my situation, but on the flip-side, he didn’t dwell on the detail. He helped me to move things forward in places I felt otherwise stuck. He showed me where I wasn’t helping myself, and in fact that I wasn’t stuck.
Whether the advice comes in the form of personal anecdote, relatable stories, or direct calling out of unhelpful behaviour – he has – hands down, been one of the most integral and pivotal advisors in my journey. The journey of mine was navigating the end of an abusive marriage, and ensuring my two beautiful children were minimally impacted – but you can insert ANY LIFE CHALLENGE here – and I know the influence of Shaun’s advice will have the same level of impact. I’ve never shied away from a challenge, but now I embrace it.
Shaun is the kind of person who lives his values and helps others to do the same. His infectious enthusiasm and energy are next-level – and single-handedly, he makes the world a better place.
“I am a Military veteran and was struggling with PTSD and major depression, before working with Shaun I was on drugs and seeing a Psychiatrist for 8 years just so I could function.
Now I am drug-free and have created meaningful connections, I am able to fully appreciate and connect with my children and partner on a whole new level. Best thing I ever did for myself!
I have PTSD well and truly under control, and I am moving forward in my business and my life in a way I never thought was possible.
I really cannot recommend Shaun’s mentoring program enough.”
